International Workshop “Infrastructure and the spatial organization of economic activity”


Transport costs for goods, persons and services are recognized as determinants of the geographical distribution of economic activities and a key factor of competitiveness of countries, regions and cities.

The workshop is aimed to bring together recent original research on the role of infrastructure, and in particular transportation infrastructure, in shaping economic activity and to advance on the understanding of the relationship between the spatial distribution of economic activities and the cost of transportation.
