Umpiérrez de Reguero
Doctor en Humanidades por la Universidad de Leiden (Países Bajos) y en Ciencia Política por la Universidad Diego Portales (Chile). Actualmente se desempeña como Investigador Adjunto en el Instituto de Políticas y Bienes Públicos del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (IPP-CSIC) y en la Universidad de Tallin (Estonia). Anteriormente fue Investigador Postdoctoral en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid y en el Observatorio Global de Ciudadanía (GLOBALCIT) del Instituto Universitario Europeo (Italia).
Su investigación se centra en el análisis comparado de políticas públicas, con especial énfasis en temas de migración, ciudadanía y participación política. A lo largo de su trayectoria académica ha colaborado con diversos centros internacionales especializados en políticas públicas y migraciones, lo que se ha traducido en publicaciones tanto individuales como en coautoría en medios académicos de alto impacto.
Es Co-Coordinador del Comité Permanente del Consorcio Europeo de Investigación Política (ECPR) sobre “Migración y Etnicidad”, así como co-coordinador del Comité Permanente de la Elecciones de la Red de Investigación para las Migraciones Internacionales (IMISCOE) sobre "Migración, Ciudadanía y Participación Política". Es también Presidente del Consejo Ejecutivo de Elecciones en IMISCOE.
