Biografía

Alberto Márquez Carrascal is a PhD candidate at the Law, Government and Public Policy program of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). He is funded under the University Teacher Training Scholarship (FPU), granted by the Ministry of Universities of the Government of Spain, to work at the Institute of Policies and Public Goods (CSIC), under the supervision of Drs. Laura Cruz Castro and Luis Sanz Menéndez. He has been guest researcher at the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS) at the University of Twente (Netherlands), with Dr. B.W.A. Jongbloed.

He holds a degree in Political Science and Public Management, a degree in History from the Rey Juan Carlos University, and a master's degree in Democracy and Government from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He has also studied at the University of Granada, as part of the SICUE exchange program. He has also been a beneficiary of CSIC's JAE Intro research fellowships, and collaboration with the Rey Juan Carlos Humanities Department, granted by the Ministry of Education.

His research focuses on public policies on universities and research and Higher Education Systems.
