Resumen. Este artículo analiza el consumo de pantallas de los jóvenes de 15 años utilizando los datos españoles de PISA 2022. Se examina el tiempo dedicado a redes sociales, videojuegos y otros usos educativos o informativos de Internet. Sorprendentemente, existen pocas diferencias entre países y dentro de España por sexo o nivel educativo de los padres en cuanto al consumo de pantallas. Entre el 30-50 por ciento de los menores no presentan una alta exposición, mientras que el 25-30 por ciento tienen una exposición muy alta.

Abstract. Does the threat of automation of workers’ employment provoke distinct policy preferences from that of globalization? We present hypotheses about how these different threats affect support for policies to prevent such shocks as well as policies to compensate via redistribution. Using vignettes and conjoint experiments embedded in survey evidence from Spain, we find that the threat of automation does not provoke any greater demand for redistribution than does openness.

Abstract Previous sociological research has indirectly examined the association between educational expansion and inequality by analysing changes in inequality over cohorts during the expansion process. This study tests the impact of educational expansion in Spain by using the proportion of people with a specific level of education in a particular region cohort as a direct measure of expansion.

Abstract. Contemporary democracies are undergoing a period of rising levels of polarization and fragmentation. At the same time, the degree of conflict in several parliaments, particularly in Europe, has significantly increased. Despite this, we know very little about conflict and consensus-building in parliaments. In this article, we analyze the degree of agreement in lawmaking in Spanish national and regional parliaments from 1977 to 2023.

Abstract. Exploring the multifaceted relationship between scientific impact and science communication through art, our study surveys 2,500 Spanish artistic researchers. Guided by deviance theories and double standards theories we reveal a nuanced pattern: the effect of scientific impact initially impedes science communication through art, turning positive after a given impact threshold. Striking a harmonious science-art balance emerges as a mitigating factor, fostering broader links between science communication through art and scientific impact.
