I am Research Fellow at the Institute of Public Goods and Policies (IPP) since 2009. I was previously Ramón y Cajal Research Fellow at the Fundación de Estudios de Economía Aplicada (FEDEA, Madrid). Before that I worked as Lecturer in Urban and Regional Economics in the Department of Town and Regional Planning at the University of Sheffield, UK.
I hold a PhD in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Sheffield (2001), a MSc in Regional and Urban Planning Studies from the London School of Economics (1996), and a Magister Degree in Commerce from Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (1994).
My research is primarily at the intersection of applied micro-economic analysis and economic geography and concentrates on the location and spatial organisation of economic activity.
