¿Madrid global o castizo?

Ecosystem accounting for measuring linked sustainable physical and economic indicators: application to Andalusian forests in protected and non-protected areas
Fecha

Abstract. Government regulations for natural protected areas omit standardized linked physical and economic statistical data in the implementation and evaluation of management. The objectives of this research are to develop and apply a novel refined System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (rSEEA) that measures spatialized physical productivity indices and total social sustainable income from individual natural-based products of forest ecosystems.

Rental housing discrimination against Chinese minorities in Spain: a new instant messaging correspondence test
Fecha

Abstract. Research on rental housing discrimination (RHD) against migrant minorities has overwhelmingly focused on the first generation, paying special attention to the most sizeable immigrant groups. As a result, we still know little about the housing-market experiences of immigrants’ children and the less sizeable—but often fast-growing—ethnic minorities. RHD research has also lagged behind the spectacular growth of online apps for conducting private rental transactions.

Pathways to external citizenship: the global extension of dual citizenship and voting from abroad
Fecha

Abstract. The extension of dual citizenship and external voting rights over the past decades has been widely observed. Both trends contribute to the phenomenon of external citizenship, where citizens residing abroad hold rights to political participation irrespective of other transnational ties. Yet these trends have been studied in a disconnected manner.

From forest to building: enhancing the use of lower grade wood for climate-responsive construction
Fecha

Abstract. The construction sector, a major contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, offers considerable potential for climate change mitigation through the substitution of traditional building materials with timber. While engineered wood products like cross-laminated timber and glulam have gained attention for structural applications, the use of lower-grade wood and industrial residues for durable, non-structural construction elements remain underexplored.

Jaime-Castillo, A. M. & Herreros, F. (2025). Trust and Inequality of Opportunities

Trust and Inequality of Opportunities
Fecha

Abstract. There is a vast literature on the effect of inequality on trust, establishing that equality must be a pre-condition for the emergence of trust. However, most empirical research either focuses on case studies or uses measures of income inequality, such as the Gini index. In this article, we argue that a measure of inequality of opportunities is preferable to focusing on inequality of outcomes, as it taps into the psychological foundations of trust.

Prevalencia de burnout en profesionales de atención primaria del Sistema Nacional de Salud: revisión sistemática y metaanálisis
Fecha

Abstract. To analyze the prevalence of burnout syndrome in primary care professionals working in the National Health System. We searched PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, and PsycINFO (up to May 2025). Observational studies conducted in Spain reporting the prevalence of burnout in professionals working in primary care (e.g., physicians, nurses, administrative staff and others) were included. From each study, methodological characteristics and results were extracted and their quality was evaluated.

Uno de cada seis profesionales de atención primaria del Sistema Nacional de Salud padece burnout
Un meta análisis con datos de más de 9.200 trabajadores revela una alta prevalencia de desgaste profesional, especialmente entre médicos y enfermeras.
